This beautiful Nikon D3s camera body has received only moderate use and has clearly been well cared-for since new. The camera total lifetime shutter actuation count of around 127k and remains, in every respect, in excellent condition. Its rubber grip surfaces are all in excellent condition, all three LCDs are in excellent condition and the camera's control surfaces and finished cosmetic surfaces remain as-new or near-new in appearance. Operationally, it is flawless: its viewfinder is big, clean clear and bright, its image sensor is perfect, and its focusing system is eye-blink quick and dead-on accurate. Combined with an eleven-fps shutter, it will let you put three or four shots in the buffer before anybody else even gets started. The camera currently sports a genuine Nikon DK-19 folding eyecup, popular with eyeglass wearers and also useful for non-eyeglass wearers as it helps eliminate unwanted external light when composing photos. #1828 Nikon 300mm f/4 AF-S Lens [SOLD]

This lens appears to have received relatively little actual use, evidenced by the near-new condition of its mount, and is, as far as I can determine, completely indistinguishable from new. Glass is excellent, with clean, clear optics throughout, and the diaphragm, which is exposed on this design, is clean and exhibits perfect, quick, symmetrical action. Focus action is light and smooth throughout its range, as on a new lens. The lens' telescoping hood operates smoothly and locks in place when extended, and the tripod mount allows for easy rotation of the lens and removes quickly when needed. AF is quick and consistently accurate, and the lens is very sharp, even wide open at f/4. Be sure to view the attached photos, and please feel free to ask any questions. This is an exceptionally nice example of a superb lens. You will not be disappointed.

Nikon's 70-180mm Micro Nikkor is quite possibly the best dedicated macro lens ever made, and is the only macro zoom lens Nikon has ever produced. By allowing its designers the latitude to ignore some of the traditional constraints upon which macro lenses have typically been designed, Nikon was able to focus efforts on the primary goals of absolute image quality and real-world usability. This has resulted in a lens that is reasonably compact and lightweight, exceedingly sharp, and that radically improves on the versatility of the traditional macro lens through the addition of zoom capability. The main technical difficulties encountered in macro photography are those of accurate framing, and of lighting. The ability to zoom adds a critical additional dimension by which the desired framing can be achieved quickly and accurately, reducing both the time involved and the likelihood of disturbing one's subject. The lens' 180mm maximum reach has additional benefits in terms of working distance and allows for flexibility in lighting; the combination resulting in capture capabilities that, realistically, far exceed those of typical fixed-focal-length macro lenses.
