This lens appears to have had relatively little use and has clearly been well cared-for since new, as evidenced by the lack of wear to its mount and by its exceptional physical condition. The lens is essentially indistinguishable from new. Glass is perfect, with clean, clear optics throughout, and operationally it is flawless: AF is quick and consistently accurate,   VR function is excellent, and the lens is sharp. When new the 18-200mm VR was a groundbreaking lens, and it remains a superb all-around lens for use with any Nikon DX-format camera body.  Unlike its many third-party copiers it is sharp throughout its very impressive zoom range, and the addition of Nikon's Vibration Reduction (VR) technology greatly improves the lens' versatility when shooting in anything less than bright sunlight.  This lens is capable of making crisp, vibrantly colorful images under an exceedingly broad variety of shooting conditions and is likely the most versatile single lens available.
